About The Space

A Brief History of Shell & Shell Bar

Honoring Shell, Wyoming's rich history and vibrant community spirit, we’re excited to welcome you to the new Shell Bar.

Set against the backdrop of the stunning Big Horn Mountains, Shell, with its world-class dinosaur history and nearby natural wonders, offers visitors a unique slice of Americana.  

This newly built establishment is based on the 1940s style gas station design of its original structure. It incorporates a restored log cabin that previously served as the Shell Post Office—a charming blend of the past and present.

Equipped with an 18’ shuffleboard table, pool table, and skill machines, Shell Bar promises to be a gathering place where everyone is, and feels, welcome.

    • Exclusive use of the venue and access to all spaces:

      • Host up to 125 guests inside with expansive outside spillover space

      • Pool table

      • Shuffleboard

      • Corn hole

      • Skill games (for 21+)

      • Covered patio with fire pits

      • Back patio with additional tables & seating 

    • Full audio/video system

    • Bar staff

    Full event setup and teardown, including additional furniture, can be included as an additional fee. However, we find most of our guests prefer to take care of this themselves.

  • We can comfortably accommodate up to 100 guests for a cocktail-style event or 25-50 for a seated arrangement.

  • Yes, we maintain comprehensive liability insurance. We're happy to provide documentation for your records.

  • We work with several preferred caterers but are open to outside catering with proper licensing and insurance. Let’s discuss your needs.
