Join us at Shell Bar for a special meet and greet with Dr. Emanuel Tschopp, a dinosaur paleontologist from Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, and Tom van der Linden, Ph.D. candidate.
Dr. Tschopp is the world’s expert on the Howe Dinosaur Quarry and specializes in sauropods—the long-necked, long-tailed plant-eating dinosaurs that lived during the Jurassic Period.
Located near Shell, Wyoming, the Howe Dinosaur Quarry has played an important role in the study of Jurassic dinosaurs. Dr. Tschopp will talk briefly about the quarry, his work with sauropods, and why the Shell area is so significant to paleontology and our understanding of Jurassic life.
Following the talk, Emanuel and Tom will be available to answer questions about dinosaurs, fossils, paleontology, the Howe Dinosaur Quarry, and their research.
Whether you know your sauropods by name or simply want to learn more about the dinosaurs discovered right here in our part of Wyoming, stop by and join us.
