Join the Arts & Humanities Council of the Bighorns & Trapper Creek (AHTC) for a special meet-and-greet with returning artist and educator Diane Fiedler before her popular nature journaling workshop the following day.
Spend an hour visiting with Diane, viewing examples of her field journals and artwork, and learning about her approach to observing and documenting the landscapes of the American West. Whether you're registered for Saturday's workshop or simply interested in art, natural history, or the Wyoming landscape, this is a great opportunity to connect with one of the region's visiting artists in a relaxed setting.
Diane returns to Shell for her third season of teaching nature journaling, bringing a thoughtful approach that encourages slowing down, observing carefully, and creating meaningful sketches using simple materials. Her journals capture the iconic forms of the West—from weathered skulls and bones to Big Horn Basin buttes and native wildlife—inviting participants to see familiar landscapes with fresh eyes.
This meet-and-greet is free and open to the public.
