Dr. Emanuel Tschopp avertebrate paleontologist and the world’s leading expert on the Howe Dinosaur Quarry. Come meet him and his colleagues at Shell Bar Sept. 5th, 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Dr.Tschopp is from the Institute of Geological Sciences, Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, and is a ResearchAssociate with the American Museum of Natural History in New York. He has worked extensively withthe dinosaur remains discovered at the Howe Quarry and named a new species from that site(Kaatedocus siberi), a close relative of Diplodocus, a long-tailed and long neck Jurassic dinosaur. Thisyear, Dr. Tschopp is in Shell with his colleagues, Leonie Sevens and Marc Barlage, to collect tiny, shelledmicrofossils to learn more about the environment in which the dinosaurs lived. Come and meet them at Shell Bar this Friday from 5:30 to 7:30.
